How to Choose the Right Therapy Counselling for You?

Before therapy begins, you will have an introductory meeting with your counsellor therapist. During this session, you will be able to speak to her about the issues that have brought you into therapy. Together, you and she will discuss your needs and the kind of therapy that will be best suited to you. If, at the end of this session you want to go ahead, you will be able to book an appointment, usually for the following week.

Individual Therapy: Stress Counselling

The Cavendish Psychotherapy Practice offers a six week course of stress counselling. This has been designed to help those who are undergoing an acutely difficult period of stress. This peak of stress could be caused by a wide variety of life events; pressure at work, the loss of a loved one, a crisis in a relationship or a sudden sense of fear and anxiety.

Clients are seen once a week and the stress counselling is focused on the presenting difficulty which is explored and analysed in the session. This focused work gives clients clarity and relief and enables them to move forward and to progress in their lives.
