London Psychotherapist: Rebecca Barrie
Rebecca Barrie is an experienced psychotherapist / counsellor who works with a wide range of issues and a diverse client base.
Rebecca works analytically with individuals to help them understand and explore difficult feelings and behaviours, and to help find the underlying causes of their distress. Rebecca believes in building a trusting relationship with her clients and offers them a safe and discreet environment from where to explore their difficulties. The length of time Rebecca works with clients depends upon the individual and the issues they bring.
Rebecca worked as a psychotherapist for many years at the psychotherapy department of St. Thomas' Hospital, part of the Maudsley NHS Trust. She has also worked as a psychotherapist at the London Drug Agency and with victims of domestic abuse at The Woman's Trust. Rebecca has also worked as a therapist for Channel 4, working with reality TV contestants.
Rebecca is a member of the UKCP, which means she follows their code of ethics and is annually assessed. Rebecca has a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling as well as an Advanced Diploma in psychotherapy. Rebecca believes in the importance of continuing her professional development and regularly attends workshops and seminars relevant to modern therapy and counselling. Rebecca is accredited by the AVIVA, PruHealth and Bupa insurance groups.
